The store closed in 1983, when Fantasyland went through its massive overhaul. Look up at the ceiling just inside the doorway you’ll see a Hidden Mickey made of cards.įantasyland once had a sister shop: Merlin’s Magic Shop. You’ll easily get stuck in here until the parade or fireworks end, and the shop can feel a little claustrophobic. It’s TINY, and guests will weave through shops to try and avoid the crowds camped out for performances. Word to the wise: avoid this shop during parades or fireworks shows. They won’t teach you how they did it, but you can have fun guessing! The cast members behind the counter perform all kinds of card and slight-of-hand tricks. SHOPPING TIPSĮven if you don’t have any interest in buying magic supplies at Disneyland, this shop is still worth a visit.
